Coffee Recalled for Its Viagra-Like Ingredients

If you buy your coffee online, take note: AMPT Coffee has been recalled.

Sold in red packets and packaged in a red box, the coffee was found to contain something similar to the active ingredients in erectile dysfunction drugs, including Viagra’s sildenafil.

For men with erectile dysfunction, this might sound like an easy way to obtain Viagra without a prescription. But the FDA is warning consumers that the ingredients, including the Viagra-like compound, are not listed on the label.

This can be especially dangerous for men with low blood pressure, or those who take medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, high cholesterol and other health issues. The combination of Viagra and these other drugs can cause dangerous drops in blood pressure.

AMPT Coffee is also said to contain milk, which is not listed on the label. Milk is a known allergen, though the symptoms of a milk allergy aren’t usually that dangerous.

If you bought AMPT, the company is telling customers to discard the remaining coffee. So far, there’s nothing listed in the recall regarding how to get a refund on your money, although you can email the company at [email protected] for more information.

Where to get legal Viagra

If you suffer from erectile dysfunction and want to get legal Viagra, make an appointment with your doctor.

There are several reasons that Viagra is only available by prescription. First, it will ensure that men discuss any current medications they’re taking to help avoid contraindications. Second, it will allow the doctor to look for underlying causes of the erectile dysfunction.

Sometimes, erectile dysfunction is caused by health issues like diabetes or heart disease that you don’t even know you have. Finally, requiring a prescription allows the FDA to ensure that the Viagra you’re getting to help with your erectile dysfunction is pure, effective and labeled accurately.
